Vulcan XL426 Night Shoot

April 2017 and the Vulcan Restoration Trust's first "Family Day" of the year. A good opportunity to get up close and personal with the very well looked after Vulcan XL426. Along with the Vulcan there were several other things to look around. A cockpit from a Buccaneer and several Army and Fire & Rescue vehicles were in attendance. Following the day time event I was given the opportunity to attend the night shoot organised by the VRT along with Time Line Events who I know from previous events put on a very good night.

Complete with re-enactors and a superb sunset it was a great event and XL426 looked superb glinting in the spring time sun. As the night fell they giant cold war bomber came to life and showed off a full array of working electronics complete with dummy nuke in a mock arming and Vulcan taxi set-up.

As the team at the VRT look to increase the profile of the 'forgotten Vulcan' I would recommend going along to the next Familes day at Southend Airport and visit this great example of the Vulcan and any future Photo shoots come highly recommended!.

The rest of the images from the shoot can be seen in our portfolio.
